New Year's Resolutions

New year, new me and some brand new unthought of new year's resolutions to keep me occupied going into the new year. None of these are particularly deep or life changing, but I like writing these kind of posts! Also how beaut is this candle? Cally from Cally Loves kindly gifted it to me for my Secret Santa!

Exercising at 6am

Getting up at 5.45am to do a workout sounds horrendous, and it is at first, but it was something that I kept up for a couple of months before the Christmas festivities set in. Doing the Protein World Challenge really got me into shape and I just felt so much better about everything when I was doing it. I lost weight, I felt fitter, I felt happier and I was definitely more productive in work. Obviously I get tired more quickly in the evening and that alarm in the morning is the devil, but all of the other benefits definitely make it worth it. I will aim to do five times a week, but I will be realistic and be happy with myself if I manage three times. I would like to be a skinny minny for Summer this year and finally look FAF in bikini shots.

Eating my veggies

To be fair, I am generally good at this but I'm looking forward to getting back into the full swing of healthy meals again. I won't be going vegan or vegetarian but I may try and make one day a week vegan or even one meal a day vegan, as long as I'm getting in all of the nutrients and it tastes good - it makes sense doesn't it?

Cutting caffeine and alcohol

To be fair I don't drink *that* much of either anyway, but I want to limit them even further. I don't want to depend on caffeine for my energy and alcohol just makes me fat. I find that I am more irritable and prone to pulling out my lashes when I've consumed either of these as well. I am going to limit myself to one cup of tea a day and no coffee, they make me sweat and then I crash once the goodness has worn off. And alcohol will not be consumed unnecessarily, only at events. I think me and bae are going to give up alcohol for January anyway, so hopefully this one will be quite easy to carry forward for the rest of the year.

Increase the quality of my Instagram

This may be one that I will struggle to keep up with, but a gal can try! I do love it when my feed looks pretty, so I'm going to try and put more effort into my pictures and try to be more active and engaging on the app. Despite the new algorithm, I do want to make my account something I'm proud of.

Read more books

I have been trying to read more in the evening more before going to sleep and I really like doing it. I used to read loads when I was much younger, but I seem to have stopped a little over the last ten years. So this year I am going to try and read more books and hopefully broaden my vocabulary!

Decrease the hair pulling

This would be lovely but I won't be putting pressure on myself for this one, because it often ends in failure! But I would love to grow back a full set of eyelashes this year and I am going to try (like every year!) to achieve this. I do find it a little easier to not pull now that I'm in work for 10 hours a day with false lashes and glasses on, so fingers crossed!

What are your resolutions for 2018? Anything new or different? Thank you for reading!

Love, Gweni xxx

Don't forget to keep in touch!
