Nudi Face Mask Review

Nudi is a new brand focused on maximising the benefits of coconuts, they have a range of different products and I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of samples of their Coconut & Benitone Clay Mask.

First of all, the packaging that the samples came in is so cute. I am a huge fan of pink and I love the confetti packaging and the little messages on the box. I really like the little pots for the samples as well. The pots aren't huge but I think I should be able to get about two/three masks out of each one - not too bad!

The mask smells divine, surprisingly sweet. I wasn't expecting it at all. I'm not 100% sure what is giving it the sweet smell, as it's not similar to coconut oil. Perhaps it's the mix of coconut oil and aloe vera. Who knows! The mask claims to moisturise without clogging your pores and tackles blemishes.

The mask is of a thick consistency but spreads out quite thinly making you look like you don't actually have much on. It made my skin tingle a little when it was first put on, something that I've found with other masks in the past. It dries quite hard (because, clay) and then looks weirdly scaly on your skin? It was weird but cool.

It's really easy to wash off, I just used a hot flannel. I then went and used my Clinique 3 Step to wash my face. My skin has been left feeling really soft and looking clear, especially on the blackhead nose front. I'm very happy with the results! My makeup applied really smoothly as well - always a huge bonus for me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new mask!

My Favourite False Lashes

Nouveau Lashes Review

This may be the most overdue post of my life, a review on my all time favourite lashes. As I suffer from Trichotillomania, I am always looking to cover up my bald eyelids. The Nouveau Lashes Natural Style 1 lashes have become a genuine life saver for me and I love them to pieces.

As a #LashGang member, I've been given a whole range of different strip lashes to try. All of the lashes are of a really high quality and come with a little tube of their Ultra Bond glue. I haven't had any problems with any of the lashes so far, they apply well and I don't usually need to cut them to fit my face. Nouveau Lashes also offer lash extensions as well, which always look so beautiful and natural. The strip lashes are also all certified vegan!

Although I like the whole range, the one pair of lashes that I always rely on and wear pretty much every single time I wear lashes now are the Natural Style 1. I feel as though they are a similar fit to what my natural lashes look like when I haven't pulled them all out. This is obviously a massive plus for me and I'm so happy to have found a pair of lashes that are able to do that.

I usually wear these lashes with whatever eye shadow I want to wear that day and winged eyeliner. I've never tried them without a winged line, mostly because I'm covering up my lack of real eyelashes but I don't think they would 100% suit my eyes without. I prefer the lashes once they've been worn once, as they are a little bit more malleable after that. You can get hundreds of wears out of them, as long as you look after them.

The lashes are super comfortable to wear, something that is extremely important for me. I've tried a few different glues with the lashes, as the Ultra Bond isn't quite strong enough for me. I usually use the Revlon lash glue, as that seems to work best for me. However, the Nouveau Lashes glue is decent and would definitely be absolutely fine for people with normal eyelashes.

I've made a little collage of my Instagram photos of me wearing these lashes, to show them in action. I wear them to all special events and would 100% recommend them to anyone. I can't guarantee that they suit everyones eyes though! You definitely have to go through a lot of trial and error when it comes to false lashes.

I apply my lashes on with the Nouveau Lashes lash tweezers, which have quite literally revolutionised my lash application process. I was never one for using normal tweezers, I just never clicked with them. But these are amazing. I didn't even realise how much I relied on them until one day when I couldn't find them. I feel so awkward and clumsy without them now!
