Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner in Beyond Green

I got my Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner in Beyond Green through the post on Saturday and couldn't wait to show you guys so much that I threw on a full face of slap so I could do a first impressions video! I then stupidly deleted the video. I spent a lot of time trying to retrieve it but had no luck, so instead I thought I'd cut my losses short and write up a blogpost instead!

This was going to be the thumbnail picture...sob
As an avid Benebabe who loved the original Push-up liner, I had to get my hands on one of the colour liners! They come in brown, green, purple and blue and I decided to go for the Beyond Green colour. I'm not sure why, I just really love green eyeliners! I was tempted by the blue and purple as well though and after buying this one, I will probably end up buying the other two colours anyway!

The liner itself is exactly the same as the original. The "AccuFlex" tip is the same and makes for really easy lining. If you struggle with winged eyeliner (join the club) then this liner is something that may be worth testing. The rubber tip is soft on the eye and very precise.

I like to make sure there isn't too much product on the nib to avoid making a mistake. I just turn the bottom until there is a thin layer of product on the nib and then use it as I would a pen.

The gel formula itself is fabulous. It doesn't budge all day and the colour pay off is great, it doesn't fade at all. You do have to use a proper eye makeup remover to take it off though. I struggled with micellar water!

Not my finest drawing
The colour itself is a little bit darker and more emerald than I had thought it would be. Although this was a negative at first, but then I realised that it's actually much more wearable being darker. Rather than it being a "pop of colour" type of product, it is actually just a really wearable eyeliner that happens to be a dark green.

Instragram much?
The price of the product is £18.50. For the original black colour, I think it is completely justified. But coloured liners are much more subjective and you do run the risk of spending a lot of money on a product you may only wear every once in a while. There aren't that many gel liners out there that are colourful so if this is what you're looking for, then fab! But if you're looking for a bold bright coloured eyeliner for a particular event, then I would just stick to getting a cheap eyeliner.

Hope you enjoyed and let me know if you like the eyeliner and what colour would you go for!

Lipstick Tower Review

If you follow my Instagram account, you may have already seen that I recently purchased a lipstick tower! I purchased this lipstick tower from Beauty Stash and thought I would do a review on it. I have not been sponsored to write this post.

Edit: The company seems to have gone out of business now and I have removed the links. Sad times.

The company seems to be fairly new and is following and catering to the surge of beauty bloggers and youtubers. I found the company through Instagram, whether I found them or they found me I can't remember but I have been following them for a few months and following their progress. They post loads of gorgeous pin worthy pictures as well!

At the moment, there is just the one lipstick tower on the website and I chose the white version. The tower is £79.99 which may seem steep to all of you. I got my name on the preorder list and didn't know the price at the time. I was able to get £10 off from having my name on the list. I have noticed that there have been a few discount codes, usually around £10 so it is possible to not pay the full £79.99.

I have been looking for adequate makeup storage for a while now but haven't come across much that I've liked until I came across this tower. Don't get me wrong, I think £79.99 is a bit steep for storage but I saw it as an investment. Finding lipsticks are the bane of my life, especially MAC ones and so I took the plunge and spent the money. I am also a terrible impulse buyer, especially during exam periods. Oops.

Luckily enough, my money has been well spent and I do not regret a single penny.

The tower looks beautiful on my dressing table. The tower itself is much smaller than I thought it was going to be, a definite plus in trying to save space! It has space for 80 lipsticks and I have been able to fit all of my lipsticks in the small compartments (bar one, thank you Kiko!) and I've even managed to fit in my entire lipstick collection! It turns seamlessly, making it easy to choose your lip product. It swivels pretty quickly too, if you're a fan of chairs that swivel then this will make you feel weirdly satisfied.

The quality of the product itself is good. It is sturdy and I don't feel like it will fall apart. My one niggle with it is that the diamanté band is not completely straight at the joins. It's hardly noticeable but I just wish it wasn't there because I really didn't want to find a fault with it! But on the plus side, the diamanté band reflects light and it makes it look super sparkly when it's spinning!

As for the price, I like to support new up and coming businesses and I would rather pay a little extra to help out and to ensure that little bit of extra quality. You never truly know the quality of Amazon products and well, they don't pay taxes in this country. I've loved interacting with the Beauty Stash team on Instagram and I think it's important to support smaller businesses. Who knows, maybe they'll be huge one day!

Let me know what your thoughts are on this product and if you would consider getting a tower yourself!

Limited Edition MAC Lipsticks

Thought it would be nice to share with you all some swatches of my opinion on some of the 2015 Limited Edition MAC lipsticks. I have included pictures of swatches on my hand and on my lips. I used the lipsticks straight on my lips, but I would recommend using a lip brush with the brighter colours.

MAC Wash & Dry in Steam Heat

This is the newest lipstick I have bought. The packaging is a colourful tie dye design and has a plastic feeling. The lipstick is a satin formula, my favourite MAC formula. Satins are comfortable to wear but is still really pigmented. The colour is a really lovely red and I'm really looking forward to wearing this summer in the daytime.

MAC Bao Bao Wan in Forbidden Sunrise

I love the Bao Bao packaging, it is a dark grey with an iridescent green sparkle and is incredibly soft to the touch. The lipstick is a matte formula, a formula I find harder to wear but incredibly long lasting. I always make sure to put a base on my lips before wearing a matte to avoid drying out my lips. The colour is bright orange.

MAC Julia Petit in Petite Red

The packaging is black with Julia Petits signature in gold on it. I like the simplicity of the packaging and it is also has a plastic feel to it. This is another satin formula and it is a berry red colour. It's not quite red or pink. It is somewhere in between. This colour is fab for a night out, especially paired with a bold eye.

MAC Toledo in Barbecue

This was my first limited edition MAC lipstick and I love it. The packaging is white with illustrated faces going around the bottom of the lipstick. This is another matte formula and it is a perfect orange red colour. I've worn this out on a couple of nights out and loved wearing it. I think the colour is perfect for those nights where you don't want to wear a full red lipstick but still want the effect of a red lippy.

MAC Cinderella in Free As A Butterfly

I'm not going to lie, I bought this for the packaging. I originally wanted Royal Ball but it had run out and then impulse bought this one when it was restocked. The packaging is gorgeous. It is a pale blue colour with a pink pearl effect. The lipstick itself is a lustre formula. This is the first lipstick I've had in this formula and it is very sheer. The colour is a champagne gold but very sheer. I am not fussed on the lipstick itself but I absolutely love the packaging. No regrets here!

Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know which one is your favourite!
