Green & Spring are a company that celebrate the British countryside and were kind enough to send me some products for me to test. I found the brand on Instagram and was instantly drawn to its beautiful design, how lovely is the little bird? Having done a little more research, the birds actually have a story behind them. Each bird that the brand uses can be found in Britain, and its colour signifies which Green & Spring range the product is part of.
The products are all inspired by the British countryside, and are created using herbs and flowers native to Britain and are known to have therapeutic qualities. The products even have spring water used from the Cowley estate that Rose, the founder of the company, works on. All products are 100% natural botanical materials and the packaging is made of recyclable material.
I've been testing out the Rich Night Cream for the past few months, using it when I felt my skin needed a little something extra. The consistency is really lovely, not too thick or thin. I've found that you can actually build the thickness of the cream as well, so for people who have drier skin this is an added extra. I have combination skin and I find a thin layer is the perfect amount for me.
I usually put on a thin layer before going to sleep, it's really lightweight on my skin and just feels like normal moisturiser. When I wake, I find that my skin looks much brighter and healthier than if I go without it. If I'm doing a breakfast waitressing shift, I always try and pop this on the night before, as I find it makes me look a bit more alive for my 8am shift!
Aside from making me look less like a zombie, my favourite part about this cream is its aroma. As described on the pot, its ingredients include: carrot, chamomile, lavender, bilberry and comfrey. It is inspired by wild, ancient hedgerows and I can definitely sense that in its smell. It's very fresh, like a well looked after garden with a hint of sweetness. It is very strong and unusual, but I very much like it! If you're looking to support a British company, which celebrates the British countryside, then look no further.
Thank you for reading.
